Brittany Mahomes has given birth to a baby girl, her third child with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick.

The couple – who already have a daughter, three-year-old Sterling, and a son, two-year-old Bronze – had announced last July that they were expecting another child together.

And six months on Brittany has confirmed that she brought a second girl, Golden Raye Mahomes, into the world on Sunday January 12.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the Chiefs WAG shared a photo of her and Patrick’s hands resting above Golden Raye’s feet, which are placed just in front of a sign with her name on it.

The 29-year-old Patrick had said on Christmas Day that Brittany was due to give birth imminently and joked that he hoped it was during his team’s bye week before the NFL playoffs.

Speaking after his team beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 25, a win that gave his team an extra week off before the playoffs, Mahomes said: ‘I told my pregnant wife I was gonna get her the number one seed so we can go have that baby. So we got that number one seed.’

Before the game, Mahomes admitted that his wife had been struggling with how tense Chiefs matches have been this season.

‘Any day now,’ he said of her due date. ‘Brittany says I have been stressing her out too much this season so I got to try and not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye.

‘Hopefully God works the right way and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere. And then everything will work out perfectly.’

Patrick and Brittany are high school sweethearts. They started dating in March 2012 and even attended their prom together a year later.

They got engaged in September 2020, months after Patrick had won his first Super Bowl with the Chiefs.

‘You don’t think it’s going to be nerve-wracking, especially when you’ve been with someone for so long, but before you get on that knee, your heart’s racing, I promise you that,’ he said.

Later that month, they announced they were expecting their first child. The pair eventually got married in March 2022 in Hawaii, after the birth of first daughter Sterling.

Over the past 18 months Brittany has struck up a high-profile friendship with Taylor Swift after the pop megastar began dating Mahomes’ teammate Travis Kelce.

Back in October, Mahomes posed for a picture with fellow WAG Lyndsey Bell and Swift, who posed with her hand over her baby bump.

The trio were repeating a picture they had staged earlier in 2024 when Bell was pregnant – and it inevitably sparked speculation among the Swifties that Travis and Taylor will be the next to be expecting a baby.

For now though, Chiefs Kingdom – as well as Mahomes himself – will no doubt be relieved that his third child has arrived during his time off.

The Chiefs are set to begin their push for an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl on the weekend of January 18-19.

And if Brittany was still waiting to give birth, Mahomes may have faced a difficult decision over whether he would miss a make-or-break game to be there for the birth of his child.

But now, as he celebrates the arrival of a new child, his focus can turn to the road to New Orleans, and getting the Chiefs to the Super Bowl on February 9.
