Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice’s car has allegedly been involved in a major accident in Dallas. Dashcam footage of the incident has since emerged portraying the magnitude of the crash. A Corvette reportedly belonging to Rice was said to be racing another Lamborghini, which caused a six-car accident. The perpetrators allegedly left the scene and are now wanted.
The dashcam video reportedly indicates the exact moment the crash happened. It shows a couple of people exiting on their own, before moving away from one of the cars involved. Two people are said to have been taken to the hospital.
The full extent of the Chiefs wide receiver’s involvement is unclear, even though the car is registered under his name. Images captured by TMZ show five people leaving the scene but Rice isn’t one of them.

Unwanted attention for the Chiefs with Rashee Rice allegedly involved in a car accident
The Chiefs are on a high after winning back-to-back Super Bowls. They won this year’s championship despite not capturing the first seed in the AFC like they did in the previous season. Much of that came down to them not having a top wide receiver who stepped up during the regular season.
However, during the playoffs after the Super Bowl win, there was hope that Rashee Rice could develop as the prime wide receiver target for Patrick Mahomes. This accident could derail the focus from that. It could become an unwanted headache for Andy Reid, not merely because of the legal implications but how it is perceived publicly.
While the details of this case are still developing, it will become very difficult for the organization to keep him if he is charged by the police. They have lured Hollywood Brown away from the Arizona Cardinals and have added one weapon there but now they might have to change their draft strategy and get more rookie wide receivers than they initially planned.
It makes for an unwelcome distraction and one that the Chiefs did not need especially this season. They are trying to win the Super Bowl for a third consecutive year and it has never been done before. They needed everyone to concentrate on that singular objective.
Instead, the whole offensive production load might fall on an ageing Travis Kelce and some rookie receivers. Isiah Pacheco might add to the rushing tally and Patrick Mahomes might need to keep pulling the rabbit out of the bag as he does on a regular basis. That is not ideal and the Chiefs will be hoping that the allegations do not get any more serious and the case against Rashee Rice is resolved quickly.
