The Dallas Cowboys‘ season ended in yet another failure as they suffered their 10th defeat in a reflection of the disaster they experienced, after losing in the final seconds to the Washington Commanders last Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

With nothing at stake, quarterback Cooper Rush did not see action in a strategy that saved him $250,000, as his contract includes a bonus for participation in the Cowboys offensive plays. If he played 45% of the team’s offensive plays, he earns an additional $250,000, something he has already achieved. But that’s not all, Rush can get $250,000 more to add up to half a million in incentives if he reaches 55% of plays. However, according to Jerry Jones, that was not the reason for him not to play.

“I didn’t even know anything about it until I read about it, so nothing at all. Those incentives are there for the team. We put them there so that if someone, in his case, like the backup quarterback, has to play, he has the financial incentives. Usually they’re put there by the people who represent him. He earned some pretty significant incentives this year,” Jerry Jones said at the end of the game.

In this situation, Trey Lance, the third-team quarterback, was the one who replaced the injured Dak Prescott in the last game, and Cooper Rush watched the game from the sidelines, but while he remained in the shadows, his wife Lauryn was the one who shone for the family, along with their daughter.

Lauryn shared on her Instagram account some photos of the game day as a cowgirl, showing off an all-denim look, black boots and a cowboy hat, with the following message: “Year 8 has come to an end”.

The post generated several responses from his followers, most of whom supported Cooper’s work in replacing Dak, and are hoping that they can stay in Dallas next season to compete for the starting job.
